ScriptyDo turns screenplays into table reads and rehearsal partners. To do that we keep your account, your scripts and the audio you make. We don't sell your personal data, we don't show ads, and we don't use tracking or analytics cookies. This policy says what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and how to see, change or delete your data. It applies to the ScriptyDo website and app. ScriptyDo is run from Maryland, USA. Questions: info@theindigoexchange.com.
1. What we collect, why, and who receives it
| Category | What it is | Why | Who receives it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account details | Email address, scrambled password, or name and email from Google sign-in | Your account, sign-in emails, security | Lovable Cloud (hosting), sign-in email service, Google if you use Google sign-in |
| Your scripts | The text read from your file: scene headings, action lines, dialogue, parentheticals, character names | Showing, casting and voicing your script | Lovable Cloud; script text from the scenes you work on goes to our AI providers |
| What you make | Casts, voice choices, direction notes, pronunciations, sound cues, sounds you upload, generated audio | Making and playing your table read and rehearsals | Lovable Cloud; line text and notes go to the voice provider you cast |
| Tokens and purchases | Balance, each charge and refund, what was bought and whether payment succeeded | Charging fairly, refunds, accounting | Lovable Cloud, Stripe |
| Support and bug reports | What you write, the page you were on, what it's about if you say, the app version, your browser's name and version; if an upload fails, the error and the file's type and size (never its contents) | Fixing problems and answering you | Lovable Cloud |
| Ratings you choose to give | Your 1 to 5 answer to a quick question (after a finished table read or rehearsal scene), any note you add, and the app version | Learning what to improve | Lovable Cloud |
| Usage counts | That you reached a step of the app, such as uploading a script, finishing casting, starting or finishing a recording, downloading, changing a voice, or finishing a rehearsal scene, with the time, the app version and small details like the file type. Never the words of your script or your audio. | Seeing where people get stuck and whether each update helped | Lovable Cloud |
| How you direct voices | The voice settings you choose (voice, quality, mood, performance style, shade), the directions you write (character notes and director's notes), how often you change or re-record them, and the tokens each step used | Learning which directions and voices work, so presets and defaults get better. Looked at by us in our own database, mostly added up across everyone; never the words of your script or your audio | Lovable Cloud |
| Beta invites | The invite you used and the email it was sent to | Running the beta | Lovable Cloud, Resend (invite emails) |
| Technical data | Short-lived server logs: request times, errors, network address | Keeping the service running and secure | Lovable Cloud |
When you upload a PDF, Word, Final Draft or Fountain file, your browser reads it and we save only the text. We don't keep the original file. We collect only what we need to provide the features you use.
2. Your voice when you rehearse
In the Rehearsal studio, when I finish speaking (Listen) uses your browser's own speech recognition so the scene knows when you've finished your line. Your browser's maker provides that service under its own privacy terms: Chrome sends the audio to Google to turn it into text, and Safari uses Apple. ScriptyDo receives only the words, only while you rehearse, and never records, uploads or keeps your voice. We don't use your voice to identify you. If you'd rather not use it, choose after my line's time (Timer) or when I tap (Tap), which don't use the microphone at all.
3. Sensitive information
We don't ask for sensitive information such as health, biometric, financial account, government ID, precise location, or details about race, religion or sexuality, and we never sell it. Scripts are creative writing, so if yours includes real people's private details, please only upload what you have the right to share. We process a script's contents only to give you the features you ask for.
4. How we use it, and how we don't
- To run the service you asked for: read your script, voice it, mix it and let you rehearse it.
- To keep accounts secure and stop abuse, such as collecting free tokens with fake accounts.
- To count and charge tokens correctly and refund failed generations.
- To answer you and fix the problems you report.
- To improve ScriptyDo: usage counts and ratings show which steps people finish, where they get stuck, and whether each update helped. We look at them in our own database, mostly added up across everyone.
- To learn how people direct: the voice settings and the directions you write on characters and lines (not your script's words or audio) show us which choices work, so we can make better presets. A weekly summary of these, added up, is emailed to us.
- To send emails you need: sign-in links, password resets, beta invites and important notices about the service or these policies. We don't send marketing emails.
We don't sell personal data, use it for targeted advertising, or use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. We don't use your scripts or recordings to train AI models. Our AI providers receive them only to make your audio, under their business terms. People at ScriptyDo don't read your scripts, except when you ask for help, when fixing a fault you reported, to investigate abuse, or when the law requires it.
5. Service providers and other disclosures
These companies process data for us, only to provide their part of ScriptyDo:
| Service | What it does |
|---|---|
| Lovable Cloud (built on Supabase) | Hosts the app, the database, sign-in and stored audio |
| Google (Gemini voices), through Lovable's AI service | Turns lines into speech |
| OpenAI, through Lovable's AI service | Tidies parsed scripts and suggests sounds |
| ElevenLabs | Speaks lines cast with a Specialty voice, and runs live rehearsal coach calls (deleted there after each call) |
| Freesound | Finds sound effects when you search (receives only your search words) |
| Stripe | Takes payments for tokens (switched off during the beta) |
| Resend | Sends beta invite emails |
| Lovable's email service (Amazon SES) | Sends sign-in emails such as confirm and reset password |
| Google sign-in | Only if you choose Continue with Google |
We may also disclose information when the law requires it (for example, a valid court order), to protect someone's safety, to protect our rights or stop fraud, or as part of a merger, sale or reorganisation of ScriptyDo. In that last case this policy keeps applying to your data, and we'll tell you before it's governed by a different one.
7. How long we keep it
- Your scripts, casts and audio stay until you delete them or your account.
- Deleting a script from Your scripts removes it from your account straight away.
- When you delete your account we remove your data within 30 days. Backups are overwritten within a further 30 days.
- Bug reports and ratings are kept while they're useful for fixing problems; ask and we'll delete yours.
- Usage counts are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted or reduced to totals that can't be linked to you. They're deleted with your account.
- We keep payment and token records for as long as tax and accounting law requires (usually up to 7 years), even after an account is deleted.
8. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- confirm whether we process your personal data, and give you a copy, in a format you can take elsewhere;
- correct something that's wrong;
- delete your account and your data;
- tell you the categories of third parties we've disclosed your data to;
- withdraw any consent you gave (we then stop within 30 days);
- opt out of sale, targeted advertising and profiling. We don't do these, but you can still ask.
How to ask. To delete your account, use Delete my account in the account menu (top right of the app). For anything else, or if you can't sign in, email info@theindigoexchange.com. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email on your account. You can use an authorised agent; we'll ask for proof that they act for you. We answer within 45 days, and if we need up to 45 more days we'll tell you why within the first 45. Requests are free at least once every 12 months.
Appeals. If we decline your request, we'll explain why. You can appeal by replying with "Appeal" within 45 days. Someone who wasn't involved in the first answer will review it, and we'll give you our written decision and reasons within 60 days. If we still say no, you can complain to the Consumer Protection Division of the Maryland Attorney General (marylandattorneygeneral.gov) or to the attorney general where you live.
We won't charge you more, give you a worse service, or treat you differently for using any of these rights.
9. Security
Your data travels encrypted, stored audio is private and played through short-lived links, and the database only lets each account see its own scripts. Passwords are never stored in a form anyone can read. No service is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you, the Maryland Attorney General and anyone else the law requires, as quickly as the law requires.
10. Age
ScriptyDo is for people aged 18 and over, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger. If you think someone under 18 has created an account, email info@theindigoexchange.com and we'll delete it.
11. Where your data is
ScriptyDo is built for people in the United States. Our providers may process data in the US and other countries. If you use ScriptyDo from outside the US, your data is transferred to and processed in the US, and this policy applies wherever it's processed.
12. Changes to this policy
The date at the top shows when this policy last changed. Before an important change takes effect, we'll tell you in the app or by email, and where the law requires it we'll ask for your agreement. Past versions are available on request.
13. Contact
Email info@theindigoexchange.com for questions, requests or complaints about privacy. See also the Terms and the Beta terms.
