Terms of Service
Last updated 26 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and ScriptyDo ("we", "us") for using the ScriptyDo website and app. By creating an account, accepting them in the app, or using ScriptyDo, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use ScriptyDo.
While ScriptyDo is in beta, the Beta terms apply too. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. Section 13 explains how disputes work, and section 11 limits what we're responsible for, so please read those.
1. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and able to make a binding contract.
- Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens in your account; tell us straight away at info@theindigoexchange.com if you think someone else has used it.
- One person per account, and one free welcome allowance per person. Creating extra accounts to collect free tokens isn't allowed.
- You can't use ScriptyDo if you're barred from US services by sanctions law.
2. Your scripts and audio stay yours
You keep every right you have in the scripts you upload and the audio you make from them. We don't claim ownership of either. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, copy, process and transmit your content only to run ScriptyDo for you: to read your script, send the lines to our voice providers, keep backups, keep the service secure, and play and deliver the results back to you. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups until they're overwritten. We don't use your content to train AI models.
You confirm that you wrote each script you upload, or have the right to use it this way (for example, it's in the public domain, or the writer or rights holder agreed), and that your content doesn't break anyone's rights or the law.
3. AI voices and what you make with them
- Every ScriptyDo voice is a synthetic stock voice from our providers. None is a copy of a real actor's voice.
- Don't use ScriptyDo to imitate a real person's voice, or to make audio that pretends a real person said something they didn't. Impersonating someone with AI to deceive or harm is a crime in Maryland and elsewhere.
- You may use the audio you make to develop, pitch, rehearse and share your work. If you publish, broadcast or sell it, you're responsible for having the rights to the script, and you must not present it as a recording of real people. Saying it was made with AI voices is the honest way.
- Don't use ScriptyDo audio to train or build a voice model, or to copy ScriptyDo voices.
- Our voice providers have their own rules about prohibited uses (such as fraud, harassment and sexual content involving minors), and those uses are not allowed here either.
- AI voices can mispronounce words or misread a line. Check anything important before you rely on it.
4. What you may not do
- Upload material you have no right to use, or that breaks the law.
- Make audio that harasses, threatens, defames or sexually exploits anyone, or anything sexual involving minors.
- Use ScriptyDo for scams, fraud, election deception or deceptive impersonation.
- Break, overload, probe or get around the service's security, limits or token charges, or scrape it with automated tools.
- Resell access to ScriptyDo or its voices without our written agreement.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. We'll tell you why unless the law, safety or an investigation makes that unwise.
5. Tokens
- Generating voices, sound and rehearsal audio uses tokens. The app tells you what a paid action costs, and nothing is charged until you click.
- If a generation fails, the tokens for it are returned automatically.
- Tokens aren't money. They have no cash value, can't be transferred, sold or exchanged, and are only for use in ScriptyDo.
- Tokens you buy don't expire while your account is open.
- Free tokens (the welcome allowance and beta gifts) are a gift we may change, and we may remove them if they were collected by breaking these terms.
- Prices and the number of tokens an action costs can change. Changes never affect tokens you've already spent.
6. Payments and refunds
Buying tokens is switched off during the beta. When it opens, payment is taken by Stripe, and these rules apply:
- Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay. Sales tax is added where the law requires it (for example, Maryland taxes digital products).
- Changed your mind? Email info@theindigoexchange.com within 14 days of buying and we'll refund the tokens from that purchase that you haven't used.
- Tokens you've used aren't refundable, except when something went wrong on our side (for example, audio that never arrived); then we'll return the tokens or refund you.
- If we close ScriptyDo for good, we'll refund tokens you bought and haven't used.
- If we close your account for breaking these terms, purchased tokens aren't refunded.
- None of this limits any refund or other right you have under consumer law where you live.
7. Copyright complaints
We respect copyright and respond to notices under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Send notices to our copyright agent at info@theindigoexchange.com. A notice must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the work you say is being infringed;
- the material on ScriptyDo you say infringes it, with enough detail for us to find it;
- your address, phone number and email;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you're the owner or authorised to act for them.
We'll remove or disable the material and tell the person who posted it. If you think your material was removed by mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address with your signature, what was removed and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your name, address and phone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the US, any district where we may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice. Unless they tell us they've gone to court, we'll restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we receive your counter-notice. We close the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly.
8. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions about ScriptyDo, we may use them to improve ScriptyDo without owing you anything. This covers only feedback about the product, never your scripts or audio.
9. Changes to the service and to these terms
We may change, add or remove features. The date at the top shows when these terms last changed. Before an important change takes effect, we'll tell you in the app or by email, and we may ask you to accept the new terms before you carry on using ScriptyDo. If you don't accept them, you can delete your account, and for purchased tokens you haven't used, section 6's closing-down refund applies.
10. No warranties
ScriptyDo is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those stated in these terms, and we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We don't promise that ScriptyDo will always be available or free of errors, that audio will be perfect, or that stored content will never be lost. Keep your own copies of scripts and audio that matter to you.
11. Limits on our responsibility
As far as the law allows, ScriptyDo won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost opportunities or lost data, and our total liability to you for all claims about ScriptyDo is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or 50 US dollars.
These limits don't apply to harm caused by our gross negligence, wilful misconduct or fraud, to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or to anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
If someone makes a claim against us because of content you uploaded or because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, including reasonable legal fees. We'll tell you about the claim promptly and let you help defend it.
12. Ending your account
You can stop using ScriptyDo and delete your account at any time with Delete my account in the account menu. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or close the service with at least 30 days' notice (unless the law, safety or a serious breach needs faster action). Sections 2 (only for backups), 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13 and 14 continue after an account ends.
13. Disputes
- Talk to us first. If you have a problem, email info@theindigoexchange.com describing it and what you'd like us to do. We'll both try in good faith to sort it out within 30 days before going to court.
- Law. These terms and any dispute about ScriptyDo are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- Courts. Disputes go to the state courts located in Maryland or the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court where you live, if it qualifies.
- Your rights. If you're a consumer, nothing in this section takes away protections that the law where you live won't let a contract remove.
14. General
- You agree that we can give you notices, agreements and other communications electronically, by email or in the app, and that they count as being in writing.
- These terms, the Beta terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about ScriptyDo.
- If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we haven't given up the right to.
- You can't transfer your account or these terms to someone else. We may transfer them as part of a merger, sale or reorganisation, and these terms then keep protecting you.
- We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as outages at our providers.
- Questions about these terms: info@theindigoexchange.com.
